Kannappa box office collection day 6: Vishnu Manchu, Prabhas’ Telugu action drama earns just Rs 1.15 crore

Kannappa box office collection day 6: Kannappa, starring Vishnu Manchu and Prabhas, stayed low on its first Thursday. According to a trade website, the actioner earned Rs 1.15 crore on July 2. It is directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh.
Kannappa box office collection day 6: Kannappa, starring Vishnu Manchu, hit the screens on June 27 and opened to a good response at the Indian box office. It then stayed strong over the weekend before witnessing a drop over the weekdays. Kannappa continued its run on Wednesday, July 2.

Kannappa struggles on Wednesday


Vishnu Manchu is in the limelight because of his latest film Kannappa, which hit the screens in the last week of June. According to Sacnilk, a trade website, the action drama earned Rs 1.15 crore (nett) on the sixth day. This is lower than the Rs 1.8 crore it made on July 1.

In terms of occupancy, the Telugu version was the biggest contributor The overall occupancy was around 12.54%. The morning shows had an occupany of around 11%. The afternoon shows clocked in at 12.4% while the night/evening ones had an occupancy of around 12.7%. The Hindi version, however, paled in comparison and had an occupancy of around 6.8%.

The film’s total collection stands at Rs 28.65 crore. Kannappa has received mixed reviews with critics lauding the performances but panning the execution. The average word-of-mouth has prevented it from reaching its potential.

Kannappa, however, is still a landmark release for Vishnu Manchu. It has outperformed his last release Ginna, which earned Rs 2 crore (approx) in its full run, with ease.
