Kannappa box office collection day 4: Vishnu Manchu-Prabhas’ Telugu action drama sees a massive dip, earns Rs 2.5 crore

Kannappa box office collection day 4: Kannappa, starring Vishnu Manchu and Prabhas, hit the screens on June 27 and opened to a good response at the Indian box office. It then packed a punch over the weekend. However, the action drama failed to keep the momentum going on June 30, its first Monday.


Vishnu Manchu’s Kannappa, one of the most eagerly awaited films of the year, is currently playing in theatres. According to Sacnilk, a trade website, the big-ticket action drama earned Rs 2.50 crore (nett) on June 30. This figure is nearly 64% lower than the Rs 6.9 crore it made on Sunday, June 29.

Day 1: Rs 9.35 crore

Day 2: Rs 7.15 crore

Day 3: Rs 6.9 crore

Day 4: Rs 2.50 crore

The film’s total collection stands at Rs 25 crore. Kannappa has received mixed reviews with critics praising the performances but panning the execution. It remains to be seen if the average word-of-mouth affects its performance in the days to come. Kannappa needs to stay stable to emerge as a hit.


Kannappa is an action drama that centres on the life of a devotee of Lord Shiva. Vishnu Manchu plays the lead role in this grand drama. Kannappa also features Prabhas in a powerful cameo, while Akshay Kumar has a special appearance. These roles add star power to the narrative. Kannappa is produced by ‘Collection King’ Mohan Babu.
