Ozzy Osbourne once predicted fans’ reactions to his death

While discussing his struggle with Parkinson’s disease, Ozzy Osbourne spoke openly about his thoughts on death. In a conversation with The Los Angeles Times, he remarked, “I’m not dying because of Parkinson’s. I’ve been living with it for most of my life.” Reflecting on his history of life-threatening moments, he added that if news ever broke of his passing in his sleep, people wouldn’t be surprised, they’d likely just think it had finally caught up with him.”
Two years prior to his passing, the singer told Rolling Stone that he’d be content to “drop down dead” after delivering one last performance.

Ozzy Osbourne’s health issues

Ozzy Osbourne not only battled Parkinson’s disease but also struggled with substance abuse. He was removed from Black Sabbath in 1979 because of his heavy drug and alcohol use, even as he later launched a solo career. His addiction led to some shocking moments, like biting the head off a dove in 1981 and a live bat in 1982. Although his problems with drugs and alcohol began in the 1970s, Ozzy started taking sobriety seriously around 2014 after many failed recovery attempts since 1984.

For those who don’t know, Ozzy Osbourne leaves behind his wife, Sharon Osbourne, who stood by his side throughout both his personal and professional life for many years. Together, they shared three children: Aimee, Kelly, and Jack. From his first marriage to Thelma Riley in the early 1970s, he also had two older children, Jessica and Louis.
