Everything feels tense and frustrating. Seok Cheol, despite his kind heart, is reaching his limit. Tae Hoon is selfish, reckless, and completely dismissive of Seok Cheol's feelings or well-being - he's headed for the consequences of his own actions.

Meanwhile, Seok Kyung, though endearing, proves to be deeply irresponsible. She gambled away a loan after putting her parents' house - home to her child and family - up as collateral, leaving her elderly parents to clean up the mess.

Tae Hoon, despite knowing Seok Cheol is Mi Young's boyfriend, continues to cross lines, threatening her by using Seok Cheol's safety. Seok Cheol might’ve overheard their conversation, as he leaves without meeting Mi Young. Tae Hoon seems pleased, while Mi Young is lost in confusion.


Seok Cheol had once changed his life by confronting bullies who tormented Mi Young in school and had vowed to protect her again if needed. When she asks if he meant it, he confirms - leading her to reluctantly give in to Tae Hoon's demands out of fear for Seok Cheol's safety.

Elsewhere, Seok Hee and Ki Hong are growing distant. After catching him with someone he promised not to meet, Seok Hee calls him out. When he lies again, she suggests breaking up, though it’s clearly painful for her. Sang Yeol becomes a point of conflict too. If only Seok Cheol would break protocol and go directly to his boss for money. Du Sik, the gambler, is likely to fail at assassinating Tae Hoon - who has sabotaged every peace attempt and seems prepared for chaos.

He's also using Mi Young to pull Seok Cheol deeper into trouble. Seok Cheol is enraged upon discovering Tae Hoon's manipulation. Tae Hoon, unable to handle rejection, tries to appeal to MiYoung’s kindness, but Seok Cheol arrives just in time to stop him.

This confrontation may mark the beginning of the end of their entangled relationships. The mystery of who sent the assassin that stabbed Seok Cheol at the start of the series still lingers.
