SummerSlam 2025: Bron Breakker to be added to CM Punk-Gunther's match? Possibility explored

SummerSlam 2025: Bron Breakker may be added to CM Punk- Gunther’s World Heavyweight title at SummerSlam 2025. With Seth Rollins injured, WWE might use the MITB briefcase to shake up the title picture.
SummerSlam 2025: Gunther is set to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against CM Punk at SummerSlam in what promises to be a compelling contest. However, knowing the unpredictable nature of the WWE, one can’t rule out the possibility of the company mixing things up by adding another participant to the mix. And that person could very well be Bron Breakker.
The year 2025 has been an unforgettable one for Bron Breakker. ‘The Badass’ made his WrestleMania debut in a losing effort against Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, and Penta in a fatal-4-way match for the Intercontinental title, which was won by ‘Daddy Dom’.
The very next night, he aligned with Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman. Bronson Reed later joined the faction. He then helped ‘The Architect’ win the Money in the Bank briefcase, which guarantees him a title shot anytime and anywhere for a year. With Rollins presumably out injured for a ‘long time’, WWE may use the briefcase to push Breakker. In storyline, Heyman could pull some strings to get the briefcase handed to the Young Steiner.
Thereafter, Breakker could cash it in and be added to CM Punk and Gunther’s match. He has been at loggerheads with Punk for over three months. In fact, the ‘Second City Saint’ even beat Breakker to secure a shot at Gunther’s title.
Interestingly, Bron Breakker is currently set to team up with Bronson Reed to take on Jey Uso and Roman Reigns at SummerSlam.
As such, he might end up doing double duty if WWE goes down this line. This, however, may not be a major challenge for him as he is in top condition and recently proved to be the workhorse of the Gauntlet match on Raw. It included Punk, Jey Uso, LA Knight, and Penta.
SummerSlam 2025, meanwhile, promises to be a compelling affair. It will be held at MetLife Stadium on August 2 and August 3. The card features names such as Roman Reigns, John Cena, AJ Styles, and Rhea Ripley.
