During a Ramlila performance in Uttar Pradesh's Amroha district, the actors playing Lord Ram and Ravana got into a real-life fight on stage, punching and pulling each other's hair until the audience intervened.
On Saturday, at Ramlila on Dussehra in Uttar Pradesh's Amroha district, the actors playing Lord Ram and Ravana got into a 'real-life' fight and beat each other up on stage. The viral video, published by journalist Sachin Gupta on X, depicts 'Lord Ram' and 'Lakshman' firing arrows at 'Ravana' as part of the play.
The two men playing Ram and Ravana then begin punching and tearing each other's hair until members of the audience interfere and separate them.
“In Amroha, UP, Ram and Ravan clashed in real life during a Ramlila performance. Ravan pushed Ram. People reached the stage and intervened,” Gupta wrote in Hindi.
According to livehindustan.com, a panchayat was held in the community to address the issue.
This year, Ramlilas have made headlines due to many stories of actors passing away during performances. Earlier, a guy died of a heart arrest while playing Lord Ram during Ramlila in East Delhi's Vishwakarma Nagar.
The video received over 23,000 views, with many social media users flocking to the comments section. Here's what people wrote.
