A 20-year-old bike showroom employee in Delhi, Hasan Khan, stole ₹6 lakh in cash and equipment on New Year's Eve after being denied a salary hike. Wearing a helmet to evade CCTV identification, Khan turned off the showroom lights and executed the theft.
The Delhi Police nabbed a man for stealing ₹6 lakh in cash from his employer after he was denied a salary increase. According to the Indian Express, Hasan Khan, a Ludhiana native, stole cash and other electronic equipment from the bike dealership where he worked on December 31. Khan worked in a bike showroom in Naraina.
The 20-year-old was reportedly furious because he had been refused a wage rise despite working as a technical specialist at the store for over a year. According to authorities, he devised a scheme to take money from the showroom because he was upset with the management's refusal to raise his income.

Khan committed the theft on December 31, while Delhi was distracted by New Year's Eve festivities. Officers allege he turned off the showroom's lights and wore a helmet to avoid being recognised in CCTV footage. Khan got away with ₹6 lakh in cash and equipment. As part of their investigation, police examined more than 100 CCTV cameras near the showroom.
They also interrogated staff personnel.
Finally, after considerable interrogation, investigators identified Hasan Khan as the most likely culprit. When questioned, Khan confessed to his role in the crime.

Police seized ₹5 lakh in cash and two costly cameras from his possession. The recovery of the remaining stolen products is underway.
"He also wore a helmet while committing the theft to conceal his identity. During the interrogation, Khan admitted to committing the crime, claiming he was upset after the showroom management turned down his request for a salary hike,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (West), Vichitra Veer, said, as reported byThe Economic Times.
