Coffee, smiles & selfies: Former UK PM Rishi Sunak and wife Akshata Murty's day out in Bengaluru

Rishi Sunak, the former British prime minister, and his wife Akshata Murty were recently spotted at a Third Wave Coffee location in Bangalore. The power couple was seen placing orders at the counter before sitting at a table. They also enthusiastically posed for selfies with guests at the cafe. Sunak, 44, wore his typical white shirt and black trousers, while Akshata Murty opted for a simple pastel kurta.



Rishi Sunak and Akshata Murty, together with their in-laws, NR Narayana Murthy and Sudha Murty, paid a visit to the Sri Raghavendra Swami Mutt in Jayanagar, south Bengaluru, earlier this week.

The family sought Guru Raghavendra's blessings in the fortunate month of Kartik. The family took part in the rites at Sri Raghavendra Swami Mutt.


Rishi Sunak met Akshata Murty, daughter of Infosys founder Narayana Murthy and author-philanthropist and Rajya Sabha MP Sudha Murty, while they were both studying at Stanford University.

The couple has two daughters: Anoushka and Krishna. Sunak and Murty have not posted anything about their recent visit to Bengaluru on social media.

Earlier this year, Akshata Murty and her father Narayana Murthy were photographed eating ice cream at the Jayanaga location of the famed Bengaluru restaurant Corner House. The Murthys have lived in Jayanagar for many years.
