This rivalry involves Bollywood stars Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor, alongside cricketers Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, and R Ashwin. Adding more drama to the mix, Arbaaz Khan and Jackie Shroff also make surprise cameos.
The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has just ended, with Team India clinching the title against New Zealand in Dubai on March 9. While celebrations are in full swing and the nation rejoices as the Men in Blue secure another trophy within a year, it seems another "rivalry" is brewing — but this time, off the field.
Interestingly, this rivalry involves Bollywood stars Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor, alongside cricketers Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, and R Ashwin. Adding more drama to the mix, Arbaaz Khan and Jackie Shroff also make surprise cameos.
So, what's going on?
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, this star-studded gathering is part of a new ad for Dream11. The commercial playfully highlights the rivalry between Aamir and Ranbir, with Aamir repeatedly forgetting Ranbir's surname — calling him "Singh" instead of "Kapoor" — as the two actors pick on each other.
In the end, they attempt to settle this "fight" on the field, with each actor picking a player for their team — Ranbir Kapoor chooses Rohit Sharma, while Aamir Khan takes Rishabh Pant.
A hilarious moment unfolds when Hardik Pandya asks Jasprit Bumrah whose side he's on, to which the pacer jokingly replies, "Isse accha toh main retire hi ho jaoon" (I'd rather retire than choose a side).
Rohit Sharma shared the video on his social media, captioning it: "Rivalries ka season ek baar phirse shuru ho gaya hai. Sides chunne ke liye ready ho na?" (The season of rivalries has started again. Are you ready to pick sides?)

Adding to the buzz, Alia Bhatt shared a teaser on Tuesday, holding a poster featuring Aamir Khan (AK) and Ranbir Kapoor (RK). She hinted at the two stars collaborating for the first time and suggested they might be pitted against each other.
What's next in cricket?
With the Champions Trophy wrapped up, players have now joined their respective squads for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) campaign. Training camps are in full swing for the tournament, set to kick off on March 22, 2025.
The opening match will feature defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) facing off against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Eden Gardens on Saturday.
