Social media star IShowSpeed is facing a $1 million lawsuit from Rizzbot developer Social Robotics, LLC, after allegedly striking and damaging the AI robot during a livestreamed Austin event. The incident reportedly disrupted Rizzbot’s planned appearances, sparking fan debates online about influencer behavior, AI ethics, and the viral on-camera altercation.
Social media star Darren Jason Watkins Jr, popularly known as IShowSpeed or Speed, is facing a lawsuit filed by Rizzbot developer Social Robotics, LLC. The company claims that Speed was “intentionally physical” with the AI robot during an incident on September 16, 2025. Following the incident, they are seeking $1 million in damages. The suit also names Mixed Management and Ames Ward, holding them partially responsible for the alleged actions. Let's find out more.
This legal move has drawn attention from fans and the tech community, highlighting the growing intersection of influencer behaviour and AI (artificial intelligence) technology.
According to the lawsuit, Speed arranges for Rizzbot to appear on his live stream, but tensions escalated during the broadcast. The filing alleges that Speed appeared "angry and upset" and that the robot was deliberately damaged.
Social Robotics LLC is seeking $1 million in compensation for the losses sustained.
According to Prime Timer, IShowSpeed is now at the center of a legal dispute after an alleged on-camera incident with RizzBot during a live-streamed Austin event. Social Robotics, LLC, claims the influencer struck and roughly handled the robot, leaving it unusable.
The company argues that this incident caused major setbacks for Rizzbot's planned appearances, including a co-hosting slot with MrBeast and a feature on CBS's The NFL Today, resulting in significant financial and promotional losses.
Prior to the incident, Rizzbot had amassed over 800 million views across platforms, but that number has reportedly dropped to around 226 million following the alleged damage. On the other hand, Watkins and his team have not yet commented.
As soon as the video surfaced on social media, it sparked debate online. One X (formerly called Twitter) user, "Speed got scared after telling the 'Rizzbot' to fight him, and he actually started swinging."
"Nah the disrespect is insane 😭" "Speed left speechless when the “Rizzbot” just started roasting him for no reason 😭😭," another added.
"AI already becoming aggressive… We literally didn’t learn anything from all those movies."
