Did Shahid Afridi call PM Narendra Modi 'spineless' after social media ban reversal post Pahalgam attack? Internet divided
The suspension had been imposed due to allegations that these platforms were spreading "provocative content, false narratives, and misinformation" targeting India, its armed forces, and security agencies. Along with Afridi, the YouTube channels of Shoaib Akhtar, Basit Ali, and Rashid Latif have also become viewable again.
Shahid Afridi's Instagram story: Fake or real?
The news of these channels being restored triggered widespread backlash online. The move sparked a storm on social media, with many calling it "shameful."

Shameful..... This is so embarrassing....... pic.twitter.com/CGbgUO4LPd
Amid the controversy, a screenshot of Shahid Afridi's alleged Instagram Story began circulating on X (formerly known as Twitter). Against an orange background, the post reportedly read: "The Indian government has unbanned my social media accounts. They must have realized the Pahalgam attack was an insider job. Here’s some advice to the Indian government: the only way to solve the Kashmir issue is for India to give Kashmir to Pakistan. Narendra Modi, spineless person, don’t behave like a kid — first banning accounts, now unbanning them. Pakistan Zindabad."
While the screenshot has gone viral, its authenticity has not been confirmed. Some users have questioned whether the post is real or fabricated.

Calling Narendra Modi spineless.
I hope Narendra Modi has some spine and will ban them again. pic.twitter.com/u6QIMqiSGK
Shahid Afridi made such controversial statements, yet @MIB_India still chose to unban his account.

But Let’s Be Real, It Wouldn’t Shock Me If He Actually Said It. He’s Talked About “Pakistan Acquiring Kashmir” Many Times Before.
Fake Or Not, The Bigger Question Remains: Why Were These Accounts Unbanned After All That… pic.twitter.com/8D3TcHQCcS
IND vs PAK exhibition match in the UK
Amid rising tensions and internet outrage, cricket archrivals India and Pakistan are preparing for a high-voltage clash. For the first time since Operation Sindoor, the two teams will clash in an exhibition match in the United Kingdom.
The match, scheduled to take place at Edgbaston on July 20 as part of the World Championship of Legends, would pit the India Champions against the Pakistan Champions. The match will air live at 4:30 PM IST, offering spectators a nostalgic fight of icons.
Leading the Indian side will be none other than Yuvraj Singh, joined by fellow World Cup heroes Robin Uthappa, Irfan Pathan, Harbhajan Singh, and RP Singh. Pakistan will counter with an equally formidable squad captained by Shahid Afridi and featuring cricketing icons Misbah-ul-Haq, Imran Nazir, Mohammad Hafeez, and Kamran Akmal - setting the stage for a showdown packed with history, pride, and fireworks.
However, a growing number of Indians are urging the India Champions to withdraw from the exhibition match altogether, calling for a complete boycott in light of recent tensions and controversies.
