A traveler recently faced a frustrating situation upon arriving at his pre-booked hotel in Bengaluru, only to find it undergoing renovations. Venting his frustration on social media platform X, he directed his dissatisfaction towards prominent booking platforms Make My Trip and Oyo Rooms.
In his post, he expressed, "@makemytrip & @oyorooms scam alert in Bengaluru. Just came here to find that the hotel I had booked is under renovation. There was not a living soul here. This is tantamount to cheating! After wasting 2 hours here they cut money from my refund. Shame on you!"

Oyo Rooms responded to the allegations, stating, "Hi Amit, we always strive to go above and beyond for our customers and deliver delight with the best possible experience. We request you to kindly allow us some time to get it checked. ~AA"
Make My Trip also addressed the issue, expressing, "Hi Amit, My sincere apologies for the trouble. We are looking into your issue. Please allow us some time, as the issue has been highlighted to the relevant team, so they can figure out the issue and fix this. Thank you for your patience.— Bhupinder."
