20-year-old video of forest officer questioning Salman Khan in blackbuck case goes viral again

A 20-year-old video of Salman Khan being questioned by a forest officer in the blackbuck poaching case has resurfaced amid threats from Lawrence Bishnoi. Salman, meanwhile, had confessed he wasn't in the jeep, and he didn't shoot the two blackbucks as claimed by the eyewitnesses.
A video showing Salman Khan recording his statement and being questioned allegedly by a forest official in connection with the infamous blackbuck poaching case has surfaced and gone viral on social media. The 20-year-old footage gives us a glimpse into the investigation that took place immediately after the matter was reported in 1998. The clip has once again renewed attention to the high-profile case, which is the reason why Salman Khan has been getting death threats.

It was alleged that during the shooting of Hum Saath Saath Hain in Rajasthan, Salman went on a hunting expedition with his co-stars Sonali Bendre, Tabu, Neelam Kothari andSaif Ali Khanin Kankani village near Jodhpur. He allegedly killed two blackbucks, which are considered scared by Bishnoi community and the reason why gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his gang are targeting him and sending him and his father frequent death threats.
It is illegal to kill a blackbuckas it an endangered species and is protected under the Indian Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972.Salman and his co-stars were charged under Section 51 of the Act. However, Salman was the only one found guilty, while the others were cleared of charges.
In another old video that had resurfaced some time ago, Salman Khan confessed that he didn't kill the blackbuck, but someone else who he chose not to name, did. In an interview with India Today, he said, "There's a long story there, and I wasn't the one who shot the blackbuck." When the interviewer asked he took the wrath for it and didn't point a finger at anyone, he said, "There's no point."
A man named Poonamchand Bishnoi and Chhogaram Bishnoi were the two eyewitnesses in the case. He claimed that he allegedly saw Salman Khan along with Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam Kothari and Sonali Bendre in a jeep and heard gunshots while answering nature's call. He had claimed that he saw Salman Khan shooting down the two blackbucks following which he followed the actors' jeep on a motorcycle to note the number, which later they gave to the Forest Department.
