The Free Fire Max India Cup (FFMIC) 2025 marks the grand return of Free Fire Max esports in India with a Rs 1 crore prize pool. The online qualifiers stage will be livestreamed from 26th July, featuring 48 top teams battling for a spot in the League Stage.
With a whopping prize pool of Rs 1 crore, FFMIC 2025 promises intense competition, high-level gameplay, and a platform to showcase the country’s best gaming talent.
The rise of Free Fire Max after the ban
This will be the first official Free Fire tournament in India since the game was banned back in 2022 due to security concerns. Now, Garena is relaunching the esports journey through Free Fire Max, the enhanced version of the original battle royale game with better graphics and performance.
The Free Fire Max India Cup 2025 is not just a competition-it is a celebration of the game's return, aiming to elevate Indian esports to new heights.
FFMIC 2025 prize pool and selection process
To mark this grand return, Garena has announced a prize pool of Rs 1 crore for FFMIC 2025. The goal is to identify and promote the best Free Fire Max teams in India, giving them a shot at national fame and substantial cash rewards.
The journey started with the FFC Qualifiers, held on July 13, 2025, where registered teams played 12 matches each. Only their top 8 scores were counted towards the final leaderboard, ensuring a fair and performance-based evaluation.
Online Qualifiers Stage: Format, Date and Time
Following the FFC Qualifiers, 48 teams have now progressed to the Online Qualifiers stage of the Free Fire Max India Cup 2025. This crucial phase will decide which teams make it to the national spotlight and move closer to the Grand Finals.

- Week 1: 26th & 27th July 2025
- Week 2: 2nd & 3rd August 2025

- Each group plays 6 matches
- Top 9 teams from each group progress to Week 2
- Remaining teams get eliminated
Week 2 Format (August 2–3)
- 36 qualified teams from Week 1
- Divided into 3 groups
- Top 6 teams from each group move to the League Stage
- The rest will be knocked out from the Free Fire Max India Cup 2025

All registered squads competed, and the best performers advanced to the Online Qualifiers.
Stage 2: Online Qualifiers (July 26 - August 3, 2025)
The top 48 teams will now compete in this round, fighting for a place in the League Stage. Intense matches and elimination rounds await.
Stage 3: League Stage (August 22 - September 14, 2025)
This three-week-long round will see only the top 12 teams move ahead to the Grand Finals. The rest will be eliminated.
Stage 4: Grand Finals (September 27 - 28, 2025)
The best 12 teams from the League Stage will battle for the title of FFMIC 2025 Champion. The total prize pool will be distributed among the finalists based on their final standings.
