Celina Jaitly has alleged that her husband, Austrian businessman Peter Haag, subjected her to domestic violence.
Celina Jaitly’s marriage has come under intense public scrutiny after the actress accused her husband, Austrian entrepreneur Peter Haag, of domestic violence and emotional abuse. Her revelations, which include claims of being demeaned and controlled, have sparked widespread concern and renewed conversations about toxic relationships behind closed doors.
According to Screen, actor Celina Jaitly has filed a domestic violence complaint against her husband, Peter Haag, under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005. In her petition, the 47-year-old star alleges enduring emotional, physical, sexual, and verbal abuse, along with instances of racial discrimination. Filed through Karanjawala & Co., the complaint states that Peter repeatedly made racist remarks, allegedly calling her a “maidservant” and comparing her appearance to his maid.
Peter Haag is an Austrian entrepreneur and hotelier who has worked in senior marketing and management roles with major hotel groups in Dubai and Singapore. He has also been associated with Emaar Hospitality Group, handling sales, branding, and communications.
Celina and Peter met in Dubai during her work trip and became close friends. In 2010, Peter visited Mumbai and proposed to her at her home. The couple got married in 2011 at a monastery in Austria. The estranged couple share three children together Winston, Viraaj, and Arthur.
In the middle of it all, the actress took to Instagram and shared her feelings about the situation. A part of her post read, “#Courage #divorce | In the middle of the strongest most turbulent storm of my life I never imagined I would spend fighting alone, without any parents, without any support system I never thought there would come a day without all the pillars on which the roof of my world once rested, my parents, my brother, my children, & the one who promised to stand by me, love me, care for me, & bear every trouble with me.”
Additionally, last month, Celina approached a Delhi court for urgent help concerning her brother, Major (Retd.) Vikrant Jaitly. She alleged that he had been “illegally abducted and detained” in the United Arab Emirates, where he has lived since 2016. According to her plea, his sudden disappearance raised serious concerns about his safety and well-being, prompting her to seek judicial intervention to ensure his protection and to push authorities to investigate the circumstances surrounding his alleged detention.
