Here's why Allu Arjun rejected Atlee's next film which will now star Salman Khan in lead role

Twitter is buzzing with the news that Salman Khan and Atlee are collaborating on a film. The fans' excitement level has been on the rise ever since the rumours started to float across. Is this true? If the grapevine is to be believed, all this has happened because of Allu Arjun. Here's how!



It is said that Allu Arjun was the first choice for the project.In fact, the yet-to-be-titled film was one of the most anticipated films. However, the Pushpa actor opted out of the film. "They were definitely in talks, but it was at a very primary stage, and the collaboration was never finalized as was being speculated in the media. Atlee is still working on the script and hasn't locked anyone yet. It would have been great to see both of them teaming up on a massive project, but, as of now, Allu Arjun and Atlee’s film is not happening," an insider told peepingmoon.com.

The reason for his exit remains unclear. While earlier reports suggested that things didn't work out over Allu Arjun demanding Rs 80 crore as his salary, now the latest reports have debunked the claim. Things fell apart because of the project didn't align with each other's preferences.


This isn't the first time that Allu Arjun has opted out of Atlee's film. It is said that the South Indian superstar was also offered Jawan. Not the lead role, but a cameo appearance. However, he rejected the film since he was busy shooting for Pushpa 2 at that time. Later, the role went to Sanjay Dutt.


After watching the film, Allu Arjun praised the Altee directorial. "Biggg congratulations to the whole team of JAWAN for this mammoth blockbuster. Warm regards to the entire cast, technicians, crew and producers of Jawan. Shah Rukh Khan garu’s (brother's) massiest avatar ever, charming the whole of India and beyond with his swag. Truly happy for you sir, we prayed this for you... (Sic)," he wrote.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan is already working on AR Murugadoss's directorial titled Sikandar. Salman Khan is going to sport a beard in the film. The first look has been unveiled recently by musician Sajid Khan and fans are already going bonkers over it.


"Time spend wth ma brother is the best time@salmankhan enjoyed after a long time at panvel farm house 🏠 god bless u bhai," the music director wrote in the caption as he shared a picture with Khan.
