Maareesan box office prediction day 1: Maareesan, starring Fahadh Faasil and Vadivelu, hits screens on July 25. The comedy-thriller is expected to earn ₹5 crore on day 1. This means it won’t be able to outperform Maamannan (2023).
Maareesan set to open well in India
Fahadh Faasil is in the limelight because of his latest Tamil film Maareesan. According to Ramesh Bala, a trade analyst, the comedy thriller is likely to collect Rs 5 crore (nett) in India on the first day.
“For this film, I feel a collection of Rs 5 crore is possible. Of this Rs 3 crore will come from Tamil Nadu. On the other hand, Kerala will contribute around Rs 1 crore as it is Fahadh’s home state,” he told Indiatimes.
If this prediction holds, Maareesan will fail to beat Maamannan. The Maari Selvaraj-directed political thriller earned Rs 8.5 crore on the first day and went on to emerge as a commercial success.
Maareesan is Fahadh Faasil’s fourth Tamil film. He previously appeared in Super Deluxe, Vikram and of course Maamannan.

About Maareesan
Maareesan is an upcoming Tamil comedy-thriller directed by Sudheesh Sankar, with Fahadh Faasil in the lead. It centres on Dhaya, a small-time thief who chances upon an elderly man, Velayudham (played by Vadivelu) and comes up with a plan to con him.
Fate, however, has other plans as the two develop a bond during a road trip across Tamil Nadu. Kovai Sarala plays a key role in the film, adding another layer to the plot. The music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
