Trump demands charges after loyalist Edward Coristine aka Big Balls is brutally attacked by juveniles in DC car theft attempt

Edward Coristine, better known within political circles as “Big Balls,” was the victim of a violent assault early Sunday morning near Dupont Circle in Washington, D.C. The 19-year-old, known for his key roles in the Trump administration’s DOGE initiative to downsize government, was attacked by a group of approximately 10 juveniles, police confirmed.



The incident occurred around 3 a.m. as Coristine and his girlfriend were outside their vehicle. According to the police report, the suspects made threatening remarks about taking the vehicle before launching a group assault. Coristine managed to get the woman to safety before he was overwhelmed.



Officers apprehended two 15-year-olds as they attempted to flee the scene. A black iPhone 16, valued at $1,000, was reported stolen during the attack. Coristine was left bloodied, bruised, and visibly shaken in what is being called a brutal attempted carjacking.

A fellow DOGE staffer, Marko Elez, captured a photo of Coristine after the attack—shirtless and covered in blood—which was later posted by Donald Trump on his social media platform, igniting widespread outrage among conservative circles.


Reacting to the attack, Elon Musk shared his thoughts by reporting former President Donald Trump's note. Trump shared the graphic image of Coristine and called for urgent changes in legislation. He stated that the teens responsible should be prosecuted as adults, claiming such crimes could have been prevented had tougher laws been enforced earlier.


He described Coristine as an “incredible young man” and suggested that many others suffer needlessly due to the current juvenile justice system.

Despite his young age, Coristine has already left his mark within multiple federal agencies. From reshaping the Department of Homeland Security to helping dismantle the U.S. Agency for International Development, he played a major role in the DOGE movement. Now working at the Social Security Administration, Coristine’s rise in the government ranks has been anything but quiet.

His political allies and opponents alike are watching closely as this incident continues to spark debate over violent youth crime, public safety in the capital, and what kind of justice is appropriate for juvenile offenders.
