Three days after the July 16 Coldplay concert in Foxborough, Massachusetts, the Astronomer CEO, Andy Byron, resigned from his position after he was spotted cuddling one of his company's staff, Kristin Cabot, on Kiss Cam during the live show. Meanwhile, Cabot is facing the online heat on why she has not resigned yet. But did you know that Cabot, the HR executive, is married to one of Boston's oldest and wealthiest families? Her husband, Andrew Cabot, is the sixth-generation owner of Privateer Rum.

As soon as the video was captured during the live event, it instantly went viral on the internet. According to a New York Post report, Kristin Cabot's husband is the sixth-generation owner of Privateer Rum, a man of considerable generational wealth. Additionally, the Cabot family is one of the original "Boston Brahmin" clans that made its fortune centuries ago.

Well, currently, the family controls a number of businesses, including the rum company that her husband, Andrew Cabot, runs at the moment.



Boston Brahmins are also known as the First Families of Boston, who are members of the old, wealthy, and socially elite families of Boston, Massachusetts.

As per the history, the term originally referred to a group of upper-class, Anglo-Saxon Protestant families who held substantial cultural, social, and political influence in New England from the 1700s through the early 1900s.


The NYP report further noted that the Cabot family, whose roots in New England go back ten generations, amassed its wealth in the soot trade, more technically referred to as "carbon black," an essential material used in manufacturing car tires.


On July 19, the Astronomer CEO resigned from his position following the Coldplay cheating scandal, but Kristin Cabot hasn't resigned yet, and this has now raised eyebrows online.

Netizens have been curious and have questioned Cabot on why she has not resigned yet. One Reddit user commented on a thread saying, "She’ll have a harder time than he will. She’ll forever be branded “the homewrecker.” If were her…I’d flee to another country and start a new life. With a new haircut and color."


One X (fomerly called Twitter) user wrote, "It’s crazy that ASTRONOMER has not fired KRISTIN CABOT. Also says a lot about her principles that she didn’t resign instantly. A lot of hubris in play. She totally abused her power as the head HR person, and the fact that astronomer has not addressed this in a quick manner hurts their credibility immensely. They should’ve given her 24 hours —you either resign or you’re fired. Shameful that she is still there when she has totally abused her position."
