Episode 7 of the tvN drama dialled up the intensity with one of the most dramatic turns yet. It began with Gyeon Woo being possessed by a malicious spirit after entering a haunted space to save Seong Ah. Though he tries to fight the possession, it’s only when Seong Ah physically ties herself to him, quite literally, that the spirit’s control weakens. In the process of saving him, Seong Ah also ends up confessing that she must do everything in her power to save Gyen Woo, as he is her first love.

As the night unfolds, the tension grows as the spirit tries to move beyond the reach of Seong Ah, but despite the emotional turmoil, there are still sparks of playfulness between them. But the true twist comes when Gyeon Woo, in a surprising move, makes a deal with Bong-su: he’ll allow the spirit to temporarily inhabit his body during school hours in exchange for help in the upcoming archery contest. This pact doesn’t come without a price, and it clearly rattles Seong Ah.

Meanwhile, in another plot twist no one saw coming, by the end of the episode, Gyeon Woo finally breaks through the walls he’s built and confesses how much Seong Ah means to him.


Head Over Heels episode 8 is expected to explore the emotional fallout from Gyeon Woo’s decision to let the spirit stay in his body, and will Seong Ah be able to save Gyeon Woo on the 21st day, which in a way also lifts his misfortune? However, Seong Ah, carrying the weight of protecting him, may struggle with the idea that he’s risking himself even more. Their bond, now cemented by both emotional confession and physical proximity, is likely to be tested. Will she trust his judgement, or will her fear for his safety drive a wedge between them?

Another thread that seems ready to unravel is the mysterious backstory involving Spirit Mother and Yeom Hwa. There have been subtle clues throughout the series suggesting that Yeom Hwa’s motives go beyond simple chaos, and episode 8 may finally answer those questions. Ji Ho, meanwhile, appears to be reaching a boiling point with his unspoken jealousy.
