Shah Rukh Khan has finally received his first National Film Award for his role in Jawan, marking a major milestone in his 33-year acting journey. Despite past acclaimed roles, SRK had never won the honour until now. Here's how the award finally came his way.
After more than three decades in Indian cinema, Shah Rukh Khan has finally won a National Film Award. The actor has received the Best Actor award at the 71st National Film Awards for his performance in Jawan, a 2023 action drama that saw him in a double role. This marks SRK’s first-ever National Film Award despite a long career filled with critically acclaimed performances. The award comes after several near-misses in previous years.
