The 71st National Film Awards have finally been announced, honouring some of the best performances and films across Indian cinema. The 71st National Film Awards were announced on August 1, 2025, in New Delhi. The awards, which celebrate the best in Indian cinema, were handed over after the jury submitted their final report to Union Ministers Ashwini Vaishnaw and L. Murugan. A press conference followed, revealing the full winners list.

Shah Rukh Khan (Jawan) and Vikrant Massey (12th Fail) shared the Best Actor title, while Rani Mukerji bagged Best Actress for Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway. The Best Hindi Film award went to Kathal: A Jackfruit Mystery, with wins also coming in for Animal, Pookalam, and Vaathi.
