Production house Hombale Films shared the news on Instagram, along with a brand-new poster. The update has sent fans into a frenzy, eagerly awaiting the film’s release. Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1 serves as a prequel to the celebrated 2022 film Kantara, taking audiences back to the mythological origins of its universe. Set in 300 CE during the Kadamba dynasty, the film explores the foundation of the Kantara saga by delving into ancient legends and the cultural practices of that era.

At the heart of the story are the divine entities Panjurli Daiva and Guliga Daiva, guardians believed to protect the land and uphold righteousness. The narrative emphasizes their spiritual link to nature and the rituals of the people, revealing how the sacred relationship between humans and the environment first came into being.

Their search for a location in Karnataka that could support an elaborate palace set with detailed interiors came up short, prompting them to start with one studio floor which ultimately evolved into a large-scale production facility tailored to the film’s extensive requirements.
