Aishwarya Rai Bachchan trolled for Cannes 2025 outfit and hairstyle, fans say ‘straightener cheen lo’

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Cannes 2025 appearance has stirred up a storm on social media, with critics targeting both her outfit and her long-standing straight hairstyle. Though the Bollywood star often grabs attention at the renowned film festival, this year the buzz is less about glamour and more about her predictable style. Across platforms like Reddit and fashion communities, fans are speaking out, urging her stylists to bring something new to the table specially when it comes to her hairstyle.


Taking to Reddit, a social media user shared Aishwarya’s photos and people were quick to react to it.


Some talked about how she needs to wear her hair differently and others pointed how a lot more changes could have improved her look.

One wrote, “Iska straightener cheeno koi yaar.” Another added, “What's the matter with her hair, it like it the only style she's been doing since a long time, it sucks and is so distracting.”

A third went on to add, “I would get heavily downvoted but this look is terrible. The saree drape is abysmal - it doesn’t look good on her at all.”



As per Manish Malhotra’s official Instagram page, she donned an ensemble in shades of ivory, rose gold, and silver, a meticulously handwoven Kadwa Banarasi handloom saree. The saree was adorned with intricate brocade motifs and detailed hand-embroidered zari work using real silver (chandi), enhancing the fabric’s elegance. Complementing the look was a sheer white tissue handwoven dupatta, finished with real gold and silver zardozi embroidery. She completed the outfit with heirloom-style high jewelry by Manish Malhotra Jewelry, featuring over 500 carats of Mozambique rubies and uncut diamonds set in 18k gold, along with bold ruby statement rings.
