In a recent podcast, Shloka opened up about her experiences as a founder and the effort it takes to keep such an initiative running. She described ConnectFor as a kind of "Shaadi.com for volunteering," explaining that the idea was born from the realization that while many people want to do good, they often struggle to find the right avenues. With so many NGOs in the country, their goal was to create a platform that connects willing volunteers with organizations that need their help.

Shloka Ambani was born in Mumbai in July 1990 to Russell and Mona Mehta, who head the international diamond firm Rosy Blue. In March 2019, she tied the knot with Akash Ambani, the eldest son of Mukesh and Nita Ambani, and the couple now have two children.
